Alfredo Yepes

Alfredo Yepes Ramírez, 79, of Lincoln, Nebraska, died on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at
Florence Home in Omaha, Nebraska.

Alfredo was born April 10, 1943 in Cali, Colombia to Carlos Arturo Yepes Yepes and Esther
Ramírez Rojas. He graduated from El Colegio de Santa Librada de Cali in 1964 with a
bachelor's degree, and continued his education at La Universidad del Valle where he received a
diploma in Mechanical Engineering in 1972. Alfredo moved his family to Lincoln, Nebraska in
1977 where he continued his engineering career. He was employed at Nebraska Department of
Roads, Duncan Aviation, and Centurion International.

Alfredo was an avid soccer fan and loved music. He enjoyed spending time with his daughter,
two sons, and grandchildren. A devoted brother, he remained close to his family in Colombia
and always made sure they were cared for.

He is survived by daughter, Claudia (Jessica) Yepes; sons, Fernando (Jessica) Yepes and
Michael (Sasha) Yepes; grandchildren, Hadley Forsen-Yepes, Margot Yepes, and Renan Yepes;
sister, Esther Yepes Ramírez; brother, Carlos Yepes Ramírez.

Preceded in death by his parents,
Carlos and Esther, and his brother, Jaime Yepes Ramírez.

A celebration of life will be held with family at a later date.
