Andrew Lopez, better known as Bear, the youngest son of Jose and Christine, took his last breath and departed this life peacefully Thursday morning September 16, 2021, after his courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor him by living their lives to the fullest and keeping his memories close to heart.
Bear was born on March 25, 1984, in Santa Paula, CA. Bear is survived by his mother, Christine; father, Jose; siblings, Gina, Joe, John, and Angel; son, Alex; in-laws, Joe, Nicole, Kim, and Carey; nieces and nephews, Niki, Tina, Kane, JoJo, Mady, Emma, Carey Jr., Justin, Cayden, and Christian.
Bear had a passion for music and writing poetry, when he was young no one was allowed to start eating dinner until he sang a song he made up, usually about something that happened that day. He loved sports, and spent many days playing basketball and staying active. He liked to tinker in the garden, tending to his roses, and even called himself the Rose King. Bear also had a large variety of collectibles that he was proud of. He had a heart of gold and a beautiful soul, he loved his family and always took special time out for his son and all of his nieces and nephews. It was the simple things with them, such as playing games, going to the rec center, going to the movies, taking them to their favorite stores, and treating them to something special, this is what they will remember about him. His family and closest friends will miss his fun-loving personality and his love for nature and just the simple things in life.
The family requests flower donations be sent to St. Joseph's church.
Bear will be loved always and forever and will be missed dearly.
