Annette Philmon Gray

April 30, 1963 — March 18, 2024

Annette Faye Philmon was born in Omaha, Nebraska on April 30, 1963, to Earlene and William Philmon. She departed this life on March 18, 2024 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Annette accepted the Lord at an early age and was baptized at Greater Bethlehem Temple Church. She graduated from South High School in 1980. Annette resided in Omaha and decided to relocate to Minneapolis, Minnesota, to further her recovery following a recent tracheotomy procedure.

Annette loved and enjoyed cooking, shopping, texting on her phone, and her greatest love of all was music. She found great pleasure in being a grandmother to Winter Philmon, whom she called “Lady”. Annette loved her sons, Ronnie and Maricus, and she loved spending time with her family. You could always count on her to be the life of the party. Annette had a heart of gold and was willing to help everybody. She was known for her protective ways about her family and having the loudest voice in the room.

Annette was preceded in death by her father, William T Philmon; grandparents, Elizabeth “Big Mama” Lewis, Hiawatha Tiller, Sorrell T and Vhanessie Philmon.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother; Earlene Tiller-Philmon; sons, Ronnie and Maricus Philmon; grandchildren; Prince Christian, Cam’ron Philmon, and Winter Philmon; brothers, Gregory McDougal, Alvin and Carlos Philmon; sisters, Felicia Philmon-Merritt (Kenny) and Carin Philmon (Darius), all of Omaha, Nebraska; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
