Cindy Jo Morgan

Cindy J. Morgan, age 62, of Omaha, NE passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, December 2, 2021 after a long hospital stay.

She was born on January 18, 1959 to Eino and Grace (Winterfeldt) Korpua in Duluth, MN. She was a 1977 graduate of Omaha North High School. She met her husband Mark in high school and was married on December 16, 1977. They went on to have three children, Tracy, Cathy, and Rose.

Cindy spent her children's younger years as a stay-at-home mom. She went on to work for Omaha Public Schools as a paraprofessional and then a school secretary. In 2020, Cindy retired and spent her time mostly at home enjoying time with family. She had multiple hobbies, but her latest was jigsaw puzzles.

Cindy was predeceased by her husband, Mark, parents, Eino and Grace, brothers, Danny and David, and sister, Dorothy. She is survived by sister, Debi (Bill) Woodard of Sanford, FL; brother, Rickie Lynch of Omaha, NE; daughters, Tracy (Daniel) Zyla, Cathy (Edward) Larson, Rose (Daniel) Rydberg all of Omaha, NE; grandchildren Jordyn, E.J., Michelle, Hannah, Dystiny, Emily, Dakota, Myia, Alexander, and Elowyn; great grand-children Ayanna, Alaiya, Ahvi'eir, and Aoife; many nieces and nephews including Cody and Amber who lived with Cindy after the passing of their father, David.

Services will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at New Life Fellowship, 1211 N 24 St, Council Bluffs, IA 51501, Minister Ward Doering and Pastor David Leggett will officiate.
