Claude Crawford, age 81 of Omaha, NE, passed away suddenly on June 27, 2022. He was born March 13, 1941, in Omaha, NE to Ralph and Bonnie (Hunter) Crawford. Claude grew up in Omaha, and he graduated from Omaha Tech High School in 1959. He worked as a construction worker, and he would go on to complete technical trade school as Sheet metal Worker. Claude would go on to work in Sheet metal for over 40 years and was named the first black Sheet metal worker in America. He was and active member of the Local 3 Sheet metal Workers Union.
