Dana Jones

Dana Lamont Jones was born in Omaha, Nebraska to Carla Jones on May 7, 1972.  He was the oldest of her 4 children.

At an early age, Dana was baptized at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church in Omaha.  As a youth, he participated in the choir and the usher board. 

Dana started his education at Highland Elementary school and attended various other schools in Omaha up until high school.

Dana, lovingly referred to as Dana Dane, loved listening to, singing and rapping to old school R&B music.  He never shied away from the camera to make videos!  He enjoyed playing dominoes and was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

Dana departed on Wednesday, January 3^rd.  He is preceded in death by his brother, Carlton Jones, grandparents, William, Sr. and Aretha Jones and his Uncle, Billy.

He leaves to mourn, his daughter Monique Austin, his mom, Carla Jones, stepdad, Tommy Moore, brother, Thomas, sister, Kiara, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, Judy Garrett, his long-time partner for 27 years, her daughter and 3 sons, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, as well as a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
