Born on January 24, 1958 to Ward Newman and Rosina (Blatter) Newman. We lived in Golden, Colorado my first two years of my life and shortly after this my parents separated. My sister left with my father and they moved back East (close to New York area) to be near his family. My brothers and I stayed with our mother.
We relocated to Flagstaff, AZ with our grandfather Val Blatter (Papa) until I was seven years old. While in Arizona Mom met Dick Jelly and in the winter of 1954 we moved back to Granby, Colorado as our Grandfather purchased a small motel there was a short time as this turned out unsuccessful at the time. Then it was decided to move to Arvada, Colorado near my mom's brothers and their families. She rented an old turn of the century house and we lived there until I was 12 years old. A lot of fun times with my brothers, cousins, friends, and family!
During this time, she met Jerry Mill's her second husband and they moved to Thornton, Colorado and lived there until my sophomore year. In 1974 Mom and Jerry were able to buy a home in Westminster, Colorado here we loved until I graduated from high school. This is the time I met the Love of my life Lynelle Olivas. We started dating that first summer and then we married on September 16, 1978. Four years later we welcomed our first and only child Aaron into this world.
After we married, we bought a mobile home in Federal Heights and lived there for seven years and then we were able to buy our first home in 1986 in Westminster, Colorado. We raised our son and stayed in our beloved home until 2016 a total of 30 years in all. I worked in the roofing construction field my whole life and worked for a growing company that had many challenges and benefits. In my spare time I loved going to the gym! My love for our family always came first as we had many great times with family and friends and making so many happy memories.
I retired in 2016 and we decided to move to Omaha, Nebraska in October as I had health issues at this time. Our son met his love of his life and followed us out to Omaha shortly after. We now have 3 grandchildren Jayden, Eva, and Nala. I can tell you it is the most beautiful, enjoyable, and rewarding experience to be a grandparent. They are angels from God and so loving, adorable, and fun to be around them it makes our hearts melt!
In May of 2020 I became very ill and after being misdiagnosed twice previously they located the stage 4 terminal colon cancer. I worked and fought very hard to rid this horrible disease yet it eventually overcame my body.
Survived by siblings Michael Newman, Terry Newman, and Jayne Tristan; my son Aaron Newman and his wife Natalie and our loving grandchildren, the angels of my life, Jayden, Eva, and Nala; and my loving wife and soul mate of 44 years Lynelle.
With help of deeply loving and sincere friend during his illness, Danny is now with our Lord!
Psalm 143: In the morning let me know your love for I put my trust in you. Make me know the way I should walk: to you I lift up my soul!
John 8:12: I am the light of the world, says the Lord; whoever follows me will have the light of life.
Love your family and always be happy and healthy!
