On June 26th, our Beloved Mother, Daria Lynn Nelson passed away at the age 59 years old and left this earth peacefully in her sleep after a long battle with several health issues. She was a fighter and resilient all the way till the end! Daria was born and welcomed into this world on August 14th, 1963 in Omaha, NE. After graduating from Technical High School, she later on pursued a career in medical coding from the College of St. Mary. After a brief stint living in Denver, CO; she lived most of her life in Omaha, NE.
Daria was an avid novel reader who also enjoyed collecting a plethora of different types of fine jewelry. She was very intelligent, engaging, and could light up any room she would enter. Her infectious laugh and conversation would pull you in within seconds of meeting her. Daria lived her life on her terms, loved her family dearly, and would not have wanted it any other way.
Daria is preceded in death by Father Theodore Dorrall, Husband Ray Nelson, Grandmother Velma Shaw, and Grandfather John Shaw. Survived by Son Marvelle Wafford, Daughter Ciara Wafford, Son Jovan Wafford, Mother Sandra Dorrall, Brother Todd Seavers, Brother Billy Dorrall, Brother Kenneth Hamilton, Aunt Patricia Butler. Also survived by Grand Kids: Marv Jr, Marlin, Marvon, Starr, Mykelle, Wendell II, Ciana, Syncere, and Idan along with a host of Aunties, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and other Family/Friends.
Daria requested a cremation and a scattering of some of her ashes in the Missouri River. Everyone that knew and loved her are welcome to help celebrate her life on July 16th at 6pm at the River's Edge Pavilion.
