Darlene Anna Wilken

Darlene Wilken, age 84, passed away peacefully in Omaha, Nebraska, on April 7, 2022. She was born February 16, 1938 to Guy and Francis (Vavra) Carter in Dallas, SD. Darlene lived in the Ralston area the majority of her life, where she was a Teacher's Aide, impacting many children's lives. Darlene enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, making cakes for the family's special occasions, and her last few years living on a lake. She had an infectious laugh, and enjoyed every moment of life and was an avid Husker fan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 9 of her siblings.

Darlene is survived by her husband Robert Wilken; children, Doug (Dawn), Dennis (Dona), David (Linda), Daryle (Christie), and Kristi (Mike) Zimmerman; grandchildren Jennifer, Meaghan, Robert, Brandon, Nolan, Chelsea, Jaime, Jared, Josie, Mia, Carter, Marissa, Dawson, and Hanna: great grandchildren Martin, Sloane, Cynthia, Noah, and Myka; brother Del (Penny) Carter; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM at Good Shepherd Funeral Home's L Street Chapel, on Saturday, April 16, 2022.

The family requests memorials to the Alzheimer's Association.
