Daryl Claar

Daryl O. Claar passed away September 17, 2023 in Council Bluffs, Iowa at the age of 76 years. He was born March 14, 1947 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Daryl is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Oma "Jean" Claar; brother Eldon Terry Claar; and niece Lynn Meyer.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Susan "Sam" Claar; children Ron (Kelly) Claar, Jodi (Hondo) Murray, and Rob (Stephanie) Claar; 16 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters Jo Ann (Ron) Beranek, Becke Majors, and Deb (Dave) Pfeiffer; sisters-in-law Carol (Ed) Loose, Deanna (Pat) McGee, Jill Andreason, and Peg Borman; brothers-in-law Michael (Geney) Streepy, Patrick Streepy, John (Denise) Bare, and Richard Streepy; and nieces, nephews, and other family and friends; and his loyal dog, Jax.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE Saturday, October 7, at 11am with Military Honors at 1:00pm at 212 Riordon Street Crescent, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family. Please bring a covered dish to the gathering.
