Delores Norfolk, a retired factory professional and lifelong resident of Tennessee, relocated to Omaha Nebraska in 1985 and gained her wings to become our angel on July 30th 2021 at the age of 65 years old after a long battle with several different health issues. Delores was born to the late Vernell Ware and John Norfolk in Covington, Tennessee.
Delores is survived by her two children, Marqueda and India Norfolk, nine siblings; Burell Norfolk, John Lewis Norfolk, Curtis Norfolk, Beatrice Norfolk, Diane Norfolk, Debra Norfolk, Robert Norfolk, Kimberly Ware, and David Ware; and a plethora of nieces, nephews, greats, and other friends who were very dear to her.
Delores was a devoted mother and an avid cook. She loved to spend time with her family, especially outdoors and of course, it'd better be warm. She was very optimistic and approached any situation looking at the positive outcomes. She would always have such special words of wisdom and she was such a nurturer. Anyone who had the privilege to ever grace her presence, knew that if you needed anything, down to a needle and thread to sew your sock closed, she had some mysterious hideaway where she kept any and everything, to meet whatever need you presented with. She was such a people person and so easy to get along with. She kept a smile on her face even since the beginning of the decline in her physical and medical health in 2006. She will be deeply missed by friends, family and anyone who had the privilege.
