Dixie Jane Waffle

Dixie Jane Waffle, age 68 years, passed away February 28, 2022 in Omaha, Nebraska. She was born in Creston, Iowa on May 8, 1953 to Wilma and Max Brown.

Dixie spent most of her life as a daycare and pre-school teacher in the Millard area of Omaha.

Dixie is survived by her husband of 26 years, Ronald Waffle - Omaha; four children JR McCumber - Dallas, TX, Moya (Charles) Cairns - Omaha, Ozley McCumber - Omaha, and Machaela (Wesley) Cassiere - Phoenix, AZ; four step-children Stephanie (Michael) Clark - Council Bluffs, IA, Douglas (Sharon) Waffle - Council Bluffs, IA, Carissa Meadows and Brandy Wilcox, both of Ocala, FL; 12 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE Thursday, March 17, from 5-7pm at Good Shepherd L Street Chapel (4712 So 82nd St). Private family interment at the Omaha National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association of Nebraska.
