Donald "Duck" Sims Jr.

Donald Sims Jr. was born to Donald Sims Sr. and Frances Williams on December 9, 1957 in Omaha, Nebraska. He departed his life December 10, 2022 the day after his 65th birthday in Des Moines, IA.

Donald attended Saratoga Elementary and Tech School for Jr. High and High School. After additional schooling, he worked in the Asphalt and Construction Business.

Duck was always known for his stylish apparel, hats and beautiful hair. He loved sports especially football and basketball.

Donald was preceded in death by father Donald Sims Sr.; grandmother Mattie Sims; sister Brenda Sims; and brother Leon Sims.

He leaves to cherish his memories mother Frances Williams; children Ebony "Joy" Jones, Lamar (Darnesha) Brown, Donald "Topper" (Tomika) Brown, and Donnita "Nita" (Kevin) Brown all of Omaha, Nebraska. 12 beautiful grandchildren which he couldn't tell you all their names but would say "Man I got 12 good looking grandkids." Siblings Tonya (Alford) Preston, John Sims Sr., Ladino (Shelly) Sims, and Hattie Payton; God-Son Rodney Collins; best friend/cousin Phillip McGary Sr.; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.

He will be missed.
