Earnestine Hill

Earnestine Hill was born April 27th 1939 in Sikeston, Missouri to Ruth and Earnest Price. Earnestine had seven sisters and five brothers. She attended Big Ridge school in Canalou, Missouri. She moved to Omaha Nebraska in 1953 where she met L.C. Sharp and together, they had their daughter, Linda. She later had three more children Eugene, Kenyon and Lisa Sharp.

Earnestine worked various positions at the Omaha Country Club, Kiewit Plaza and Kellogg's. When she wasn't working, she loved to bowl and play cards. She loved cooking and attended classes at Metropolitan Community College in culinary arts.

Earnestine became a member of the Church of the Living God where she sang in the choir and served on numerous committees. She later rejoined Pilgrim Baptist Church, where she remained a member until her passing.

Later in Life, Earnestine married John Hill Sr in 1987. Ernestine departed this life on April 28, 2022 after a short battle with cancer.

She is preceded in death by her late husband John Hill and son, Eugene Sharp. Her parents Earnest Sr and Ruth, siblings Earnest, Ella Mae, Richard, Douglas and Larry Price, Idella Sanders, Mary Gully, and Claretta Fry.

She leaves to cherish her memories her three children Linda Morgan, Kenyon and Lisa Sharp, siblings Ethel Walton, Barbara Brown, Dorothy Douglas, and Walter Price. Seven loving grandchildren, Tyrone Minton, Rocky Sharp, Christina Johnson, Damina Gladey, Lamar Patterson, Dontae Davis, and Daivon McLucas and several great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
