Deacon Eddie Frank Daniel aged sixty-seven of Omaha, Nebraska passed away at 11:09 am on Friday, June 28, 2024, in his home. He was born in Monticello, Arkansas on December 12, 1956, to James and Frances (Johnson) Daniel.
Eddie graduated from Drew Central High School in Monticello, Arkansas in 1976. He worked for over forty-five years as a forklift driver, welder, foundry and iron worker for companies in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area such as Omaha Steel, Metaltech, and most recently Highline-Warren. He was also a member of the International Association of Bridge Structural and Ornamental Iron Workers Local 553 during this period.
Eddie worked through various challenges in his life and always encouraged others to lean and depend on the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ to help overcome those challenges. As a result, Eddie was ordained as a Deacon at Second Baptist Church on July 13th, 2003, by Pastor David E. Triplett. At his time of passing, Eddie was a faithful member of Prince of Peace Baptist Church where he was the Chairman of Deacons and was a member of the Trustee Board.
Eddie enjoyed maintaining the pristine grass in his yard, working on cars, and spending time with his family and close friends. He always had a smile on his face and his outgoing and bubbly personality was contagious. Eddie loved having an enjoyable time and would encourage others to do the same.
Survivors include his daughter, Rolanda Danya (Alex) Horton, of Omaha, Nebraska, grand-daughters Alexis, Rhiana, and Anjanae, his brother Ben (Savannah) Daniel of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and his sister Arlean Pierce, as well as a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Eddie was preceded in death by his father, James Daniel, his mother Frances (Johnson) Daniel, sisters Ida Pearl White and Ruthie Lee Perry, and his brother Tolliver Daniel.
Funeral Service to celebrate Eddie’s life will begin at 11:00am.
A repass will be after the memorial at Prince of Peace Baptist Church, 7818 Raven Oaks Dr, Omaha, NE 68152.
