Essie Mae (Booth) Russell was born to Lucille Peters and A.B Booth on November 23rd 1945 in Ashdown Arkansas. Her mother, father, brother (John Thomas Booth) and step father (Jim Brown) preceded her in death.
Essie graduated from Bradley County High school (BHS) in 1962. Right out of high school she moved to Omaha, Nebraska and was united with Allen Chapel Church for 61 years. Essie worked several jobs including a server at a restaurant in South Omaha where she would meet the love of her life Howard Russell. They were married in December of 1963 and had 2 sons. Essie worked several other jobs such as Blue Star Process Food Company, Goodwill, and Clarkson Hospital as a Sterile Processing Technician for 10 years. Essie was also a faithful member of the Red Hats Society of Omaha an international social organization that was founded in 1998 in the United States for women of all ages.
Essie leaves to cherish her memory.
Her loving husband Howard Russell, 2 sons Howard Robert Russell and Raymond Bernard Russell, step brother A.B Booth Jr. Grandsons LeMarcus Ricks (Sherry) and John Gibson (Jasmine), 3 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, brother-n-laws sister-n-laws, cousins and many many wonderful friends she so cherish.

Heaven doors are now open and I have now walked in".
