Evelyn Hansen

Evelyn Hansen, age 83, passed away in Fremont, Nebraska, on October 11, 2023. She was born February 7, 1940 to Orville and Irene (Larsen) Axtell in Blair, NE. Evelyn married Don Hansen on February 7, 1958, in Tekamah, NE. She lived the majority of her life near Fremont, and worked as a cook at the Fremont Care Center until retirement. Evelyn was an avid reader and enjoyed coloring. She loved spending time with her great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Hansen; infant brother, Clarence Axtell; and sister, LaVaughn Holdman.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Jason (Amy) Hansen, Sr., Deb (Jon) Tank, Ora (Damon) Watts, Christina (Calvin) Villwok, and Valerie (Kevin) Burris; grandchildren, Jason (Amber) Hansen, Jr., Megan (Lance) French, Joseph (Kelsey) Hansen, Michael (Allen) Buehler, Chris (Katie) Tank, Nick (Rio) Tank, Desi (Nick) Robley, Venessa (Eric) Eldridge, Garrett (Amanda) Villwok, and Tyler Villwok; and 24 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023. from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Moser Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 2170 N Somers Avenue, Fremont, NE 68025.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church in Fremont, Nebraska. Burial at Memorial Park Cemetery in Fremont, Nebraska following the funeral service.
