Gerald "Jerry" Michael Fimple, Sr. passed away February 24, 2025 in Bellevue, Nebraska at the age of 67 years. He was born July 20, 1957 in Omaha, Nebraska.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Eva Fimple; and sister Ann Craig.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Karen Fimple (Langer); children Jerry Fimple, Jr. and Jacob Fimple; step-children Mark (Marlise) Dishaw, Ryan (Judy) Dishaw, and Erika (Jason) Stoltenberg; grandchildren Faith, Madison, Jason Corey, Nicholas, Maxximus, and Khloe; brother Stan (Mila) Fimple; sisters Shirley Fimple (Sr. Clarina - ODM) and Margaret (John) Boeck; and nieces, nephews, and other family.
Jerry was a positive, encouraging believer who demonstrated God's love through the life he lived. His humor was one of his most memorable traits; he often used it as an icebreaker in conversations. Jerry was known as an honest and transparent salesman who spent several years at Celebrity Homes before transitioning from home sales to another passion of his—selling cars. At the time of his unexpected passing, Jerry was completing his 11th year at Beardmore Subaru dealership.
Jerry believed in keeping life simple, a principle he carried into his sales career with the motto: "Keep it simple—ask for Fimple." It was a slogan that stuck with many and contributed to the loyalty of his repeat customers.
One way Jerry stayed connected with friends and family was by sharing meals together. He cherished these moments with me, his sons, and my children, often using them as opportunities to guide and mentor others, steering them away from potential pitfalls in life.
Jerry enjoyed spending his free time immersed in activities like fishing, camping, and repairing both cars and homes. He also loved designing our garden that we planted and harvested together.
Because of his strong faith in God and love for others, Jerry drew from his many career fields and experiences to overcome challenges, build strong connections with his customers, and nurture his family relationships. He leaves behind a legacy of love, guidance, and humor that will be greatly missed.
