Gerald “Jerry” Ewing passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024 in Omaha, NE surrounded by his loving family. He was 67 years old. He fought a long battle with vascular and lung disease. He was not ready to leave us but his body was.
Jerry was born January 18, 1957 to Judith Blackman in Omaha, NE. He served in the army, before marrying Anne Cleary in May of 1977. Together they had two daughters, Heather and Jamie.
Jerry worked construction for many years before taking a job at Pacesetter Windows on the assembly line. He worked his way up the line to supervisor before the plant closed in 2004.
Jerry was a car enthusiast, many called him the “Pontiac Guy”. He loved Pontiac muscle cars and restored his own 1964 LeMans and 1964 GTO. He loved to go fast, loved to burn rubber, and loved to show his cars. He also painted cars as a side gig. “Jerry’s Phat Rides” was his mark.
Jerry leaves behind his wife of 47 years Anne, daughters Heather (Holly), Jamie (Matt), grandchildren Shelby and Levi. He is also survived by his brother James ”Bud”, and sisters Angie (Jack) and Carol along with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother.
Jerry is deeply loved and will be missed by anyone who had the joy of getting to know him.
