Ginger Rogers was born in Tucson, Arizona on October 18th, 1963, and passed away on January 25, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Ginger was full of life and enjoyed family and friends. Growing up she lived in many different places. She graduated from Bellevue East High School. She always enjoyed children just like her mother and taught Sunday School for nine years before becoming a schoolteacher with Bellevue Public Schools for over 20 years. It was truly her passion and calling by God. She thoroughly enjoyed her job and looked forward to going to work. Ginger would tell her class it was not work because it was what she loved doing. Ginger was a big Cornhusker fan and before she had taken ill, she was deeply involved in her wonderful church. She does not want you to cry for her. She wants you to celebrate her life and enjoy all the memories of her.
Those left to cherish her memories are her children Courtney Farmer, Jordan Farmer and Chanel Owens (Poopy). Her sisters, Terry Rogers-Womack and Shirley, Rogers, sister-in-law, Sharon, Rogers, and Dawn, Rogers. Grandchildren Kai, Catalina and Violet. Her nephews Jason Rogers, Monty Rogers, Taylor Rogers and Nathan Rogers along with great nieces, Olivia and Penelope Rogers. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Alverta Rogers, brothers, Michael Rogers, and Larry Rogers, and granddaughter Scarlett Owens.
Per her request, a cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at Spirit Life Assembly Church 4815 Harrison St. Omaha, NE 68157 at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025.
