Herbert Curtis

On October 9th, 2024. Herbert Coulter Curtis, 73, was called home . Herbert was a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant who spent many years of his life caring for others with compassion and kindness. 

Herbert was born on February 19th 1951, and throughout his life, he found joy in the simple things. An avid fisherman, Herbert could often be found by the water, casting his line and finding peace in nature. He also enjoyed spending time at the horse racetrack, a favorite pastime that combined his love of sport and excitement. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister. He is survived by his sons Herbert Coleman, Herbert Mitchell, Johnathan Thorne. His daughters Laquitta Coleman, Shanta Curtis, Danielle Curtis, JaNay Curtis, Anjarae (Curtis) Manlangit (Rodrigo), sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and host of friends and family who will miss his warmth, humor, and gentle spirit. Herbert’s dedication to his profession and the people he cared for left a lasting impact on those who knew him. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday (10/19/2024) at 11:00 AM at 90th Street Chapel - Good Shepherd. Services will be livestreamed below.
