James Matthew Schulte (Jimmy), brother to 13 siblings; with many nieces/nephews and grandnieces/nephews and cousins, and friend to many of his lifelong buddies of his youth, passed away at 8:30 am, Friday, November 4, 2022 of liver cancer. He was 66 years old.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Jacqueline Schulte; sister Kathy Meisner; and brothers Matthew and Joseph Schulte.
He is survived by his siblings Mark (Teri) Schulte, Maryann (Cliff) White, Christine (Lou †) Johnson, Bernard Schulte, Robert (Jeane) Schulte, Laura Schulte, Linnea Schulte, Margaret Schulte, Michelle (Jonathan) Prokop, and Cheryl Schulte; 25 nieces and nephews; 48 great-nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.
He worked hard at various jobs - some he owned, lived in several states and was a great fan of the outdoors, including fishing, boating/canoeing, camping, bird watching, traveling to national parks, explored small towns and their histories, and just the enjoyment of nature while sitting in a park or riding his bike. His indoor hobbies included listening to music, putting together old vintage model cars, planes and puzzles.
Jimmy was a quiet and shy man, and to those he enjoyed being around, a good listener. He came out of his shell when he was with those he loved, and revealed a silly and funny side. He enjoyed family reunions and getting together with new and old friends. He will be missed by many.
