James E. Snyder, Jr. passed away January 20, 2024 in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 67 years. He was born June 2, 1956 in Lafayette, Indiana.
James loved music, radio, and Nebraska. He was a member of bands like Taxi Driver and ShurThing!, and spent many years as a radio personality known as "Lonesome Rhodes" and a program broadcaster throughout the state of Nebraska. He was a car fanatic, especially one for his 1958 Edsel Bermuda Station Wagon. He would get together with friends to watch NASCAR races.
James is preceded in death by his parents, James E. Snyder, Sr. and Charlotte S. (Smith) Snyder; and brother-in-law James Schendel; and his cat, Jr.
He is survived by his sisters, Diane (David) Woodruff and Donna (James †) Schendel; nieces and nephews Sarah Woodruff, Bethany (Troy) Johnson, Kristin Woodruff, Adam (Patricia) Schendel, Amanda Schendel, and Alex (Elizabeth) Schendel; 14 great-nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.
