Janice Lee (Christensen) Kulper, 83, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away on Saturday, July 9th after a battle with cancer. Jan was born on July 6, 1939 in Sioux City, Iowa to Clarence and June Christensen. Her family moved to Omaha where she attended South High School. She married her high school sweetheart William (Bill) Kulper and had three children Kelly, Christine, and Curt. Jan worked in the office at Producers Livestock Exchange until her retirement. She enjoyed playing Keno, drinking an occasional cranberry vodka or wine cooler, and watching the Huskers. Jan is preceded in death by her mom and dad, her brother Leroy, and sister Beverly. She is survived by her sister Judy; three children Kelly (Kulper) Becerra (Tom Ecabert), Christine Duncan (husband Stuart), and Curt Kulper; five grandchildren, Joey, Jeff, and Nathan Becerra, Ashley Campbell, (husband Troy) Amber Ostermeyer (husband Tony); three great grandchildren, Izabella, Gabriel, and Lincoln and many other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday July 16th at 10:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 4712 South 82nd Street, Omaha, NE 68127. She will be laid to rest at Graceland Park Cemetery. A luncheon reception will be held for family and friends at Darby's Tavern, 6503 Sunshine Drive, Omaha, NE 68107.
