Jeremiah "Jerry" Albert Jacobs age 43 of Papillion passed away suddenly due to a car accident on August 7, 2022.
He was born on November 30, 1978 in Omaha, Nebraska to Joseph and Deborah (Price) Jacobs. He graduated from Papillion/LaVista High School. He played football all through his high school years and beyond. The Monarchs won the state championship game in 1996. His teammates nicknamed him TD Jacobs (Touchdown Jacobs). He played arena football for the Iowa Blackhawks in 2003. Jerry went to UNO and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Education in 2004. He used his degree in many capacities. As an Assistant Family Teacher and Field House Recreational Coach at Boys Town 2003-2012. Jerry worked at St. Peter Claver Cristo Rey as the Sports Director, PE teacher, football coach and media specialist between 2007-2011. He taught Physical Education and was a football coach at Northwest High School from 2012-2015. His current position was with Envisions working as a Life Skills Instructor reignited his passion for teaching. Jerry was happiest when spending time with his friends and loved ones. His most cherished time was with his daughter Aubrey. Hanging out watching her current favorite anime or funny videos and having silly and intelligent conversations, were the moments he lived for.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph and grandparents, Rose Willis, Tommy Price, Inge Jacobs and Jacob Jacobs.
Jerry is survived by his daughter, Aubrey Rose Jacobs; mother, Debbie Edgman; Sister, Rosie Coberly (Josh); brother, Travers Robideaux (Kayla), step-parent's, Gary and Natalie Edgman; sister, Andrea Edgman; brother, Jesse Edgman; girlfriend, April Brizendine; aunts, uncles,nieces,nephews,family,friends and his Cat, Samuel L. Catson.
Visitation with the family will be 1:00 to 3:00pm Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 4712 S. 82nd St.
Celebration of Jerry's life will follow at 3:00pm also at the funeral home.
