Jermaine Green Sr was a devoted husband, father, and coach whose love for football and family was evident in everything he did. Born on November 2, 1982, in Omaha, NE, to Stacey Green, Jermaine grew up with a passion for sports and a heart full of laughter. He graduated from Omaha Benson Magnet High School in 2001 and carried his love for football throughout his life.
Jermaine found his greatest joy in his wife and children, never missing an opportunity to cheer them on-whether from the sidelines, the stands, or even while battling illness. His dedication to coaching and mentorship left a lasting impact on many young athletes, instilling in them the same love for the game that he carried in his heart. A die-hard Philadelphia Eagles and Penn State fan, Jermaine's enthusiasm for football was infectious, and his sports loyalty was well-known to all who knew him.
Beyond the field, Jermaine was the light in every room, always ready with a joke to bring a smile to your face. His laughter, love, and unwavering support for his family and community will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Jermaine was preceded in death by his grandmother, Alfreda Green; brother, Edward L. Swindle, Jr.; son, Micah Albright Green; father, Otis Perry; sister, Shanta' Wood; and mother-in-law, Jacquline Wood.
His legacy lives on through his loving mother, Stacey Green; his devoted wife, Shatia Wood Green; and his cherished children, Skyy Green, Jermaine Green Jr. (Parys Johnson), Nathan Adkins, Ja'Maine Green, Ja'Nise Green, Mary Jane Green, and De'Angelo Foster Jenkins (Angelina Foster). He is also survived by his beloved sisters, Shaynelle Wofford and Lanesha Wood, along with a host of extended family, friends, and those whose lives he touched.
Jermaine's impact on the world-through his love, laughter, and dedication to family and football-will never be forgotten.
