Joe was preceded in death: his daughter Detron "Tron" Mitchell, his parents Georgia Mae and Morgan "Coot" Mitchell. His brothers Pastor John E Mitchell and Robert "Ball" Mitchell. His Sisters, Christine Smith, Catherine Tate, Flossie Johnson, and other loved ones.

Joe is survived by: his siblings, Sisters: Eva Murphy Omaha, NE. and Betty Reed Hollywood, Ca; Sister-In-Law: Barbara Mitchell Omaha, Ne. Brother-In-Law: John Tate, Orange City, FL. A host of Nieces, Nephew, cousins, and other loved ones as well.

Services will be held Friday, June 17th, 2022, wake at 10:00 a.m. and service starting at 11:00 am at Tabernacle of Faith 24th and Fort Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68111.
