John Barry

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Craig Barry on July 3, 2024 in Omaha NE. John was born on January 4, 1945 in Woodbine IA to Roscoe and Ruby Barry. After graduating from Tech High School in 1963, John met and married Carol (Kunz), who he married in 1968. John and Carol went on to have three children and spent the remainder of their years in Omaha. He was a Systems Analyst at Union Pacific Railroad for 35 years before his retirement in 1997. John enjoyed many years of golf, gambling, all kinds of Sports, annual fishing trips, watching grandkids activities, and playing cards.

He is survived by his Wife of 55 years, Carol Barry, Sons- Mike (Melissa) Barry, Mark (Stevie) Barry, and his Daughter - Melanie (Brian) Plautz. 12 Grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
