(John) Keith Power, age 85, passed away in Bennington, Nebraska on February 20, 2024. He was surrounded by family and friends. Keith never met a stranger and his many friends, whom he considered his brothers and sisters, loved his story-telling and his sense of humor.
Keith was born November 27, 1938 to John Eugene Power and Erna Josephine (Rylander) Power in Austin, Texas. He married Carole Andrea Pusch, from Omaha, in Houston, Texas on December 1, 1962.
Keith attended the University of Texas at Austin, graduating in 1960 with his Bachelor of Arts Degree focusing on radio and television. Following several years at IBM, Houston, he joined his father-in-law, Henry Pusch, at Hospe Music Company in Omaha overseeing marketing and producing many memorable TV commercials. He loved to travel and was an avid pilot.
Keith is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carole, and his sister, Alice (Forrest) Dolgener, Cedar Falls, Iowa. He is also survived by nieces: Jennifer (Mark) Halupnik, Amy (Luke) Wiest, Michelle-Dyas; nephew: Matthew (Katherine) Pusch, plus his adopted daughter figure, Lesly Perry and many grandnephews and grandnieces: Austin, Grace and Cole Halupnik; Oliver, Braven and Zoen Wiest; Devin, Ava and Ryan Dyas; Isaac and Ian Pusch.
Keith was a member of the Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and spent many hours sharing his faith wherever he went.
