Johnnie Lee Burton, Sr was born in Duncan, Mississippi on December 24, 1944, to Rosie Dunn and Calvin Dunn, Sr. Johnnie confessed his love for Christ at a young age under the leadership of Rev. Wise in Mississippi. Johnnie was a loving
Brother, Father, Grandfather and Friend to many. He moved to Omaha in 1978. He joined Salem Baptist Church where he was a member until God called him home.
Johnnie is preceded in death by his (Mother) Rosie Dunn, (Father) Calvin Dunn, Sr., (3) Brothers Odell Dunn, William (Preacher) Dunn, and Robert (Perk) Dunn. He leaves to cherish his memory - Sons: Johnnie, Jr, Anthony(Rahway, NJ), Tyrone(Bronx, NY), Al-Wadood, and Di'Jon (Martell) (Coricia) Daughters: Valerie (Rahway, NJ), Eshana, Sherfond (Elizabeth, NJ), Charmaine, Yolanda (Erik)(Savana, GA), TyNesha (San Antonio, TX), and Ashley Sisters: Minnie(Howard), Mary (James), Anita, Rosie, and
Mendora (All Omaha) Brothers: Calvin, Jr(Bonnie), Tommy(Willie Mae), Roosevelt, Troy, Emmet (All Omaha), and Charles (Annie) (Texas); (37) grandchildren, (12) greatgrandkids. Stepsons: Al-Walit, and De'Andre Stepdaughters: Janie, Erica (Greenville, SC), LaTanya, and RaSheda. Johnnie also left a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Johnnie will forever be remembered as a man who loved to dress to impress. He loved to laugh and had one of the best smiles ever. Johnnie loved the Lord and his family.
He enjoyed going fishing, hunting, and watching sports.
