Kimberly Gay Wolf was born on May 5, 1966 to Charles and Melody Wolf. She was the only child born to this union. From a second union by her father and stepmother, Ruthie Wolf, 4 children were born. As a child, Kimberly (Kimmy), was a happy, free spirit who loved to smile. She attended Clifton Hill and King Elementary. She also attended Monroe and McMillan middle schools, North High and was a graduate of Central High school in 1984. Kim attended Greater Bethlehem Temple and received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost in June of 1976 under the late Bishop Dr. Nelson G. Turner. She enjoyed roller skating, reading books and doing number puzzles.
Throughout Kims life, she faced difficult obstacles. At a young age she lost her biological mother to sickle cell anemia and leukemia. Kim matured into a young woman and demonstrated strength in taking care of herself for many years and unfortunately lost touch with her family. She worked in various places in accounting, including Embassy Suites, Super 8 Motel, Nebraska Medical Center and finally as an assistant manager at Phils Foodway. She later reconnected with her immediate family during her fathers battle with cancer and untimely passing.
Kim was faced with another obstacle when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. She went through treatments and was in remission. She was reunited with the lover of her soul and received a refreshing of the Holy Ghost, on Fathers Day June 18, 2016 under her current pastor, Bishop Calvin J. Gould Sr. She held a special place in her heart for her pastor and first lady, lovingly referring to him as Bishop Dad and his wife as First Lady Mom. She immediately began serving the Lord and running for her life. She could be found during church services right on the 3rd row, beaming from ear to ear as the Word came across. Much like her father, Kim enjoyed the Word of God. She also enjoyed the choir, and could be seen raising her hands giving God the glory.
In 2016, Kims breast cancer returned and this time spreading throughout her body. Once again, the Lord blessed her cancer to be in remission before being re-diagnosed in 2017. Kimmy always kept a smile on her face and had a positive outlook on life. She was friendly and loved to talk. She would talk to anyone about her beloved cat, Vega (who was her baby), but her favorite topic was talking about the goodness of Jesus. Kim also loved to eat! One of her favorite meals was smoked salmon prepared by Bro. Jeffrey Wright. Most of all Kimmy loved her donuts! And, lets not forget the fried chicken!
Throughout her illness, she prayed for others, being an intercessor for the sick, her family and the saints. Though she never got the opportunity, it was her hearts desire to sing in the choir, join the ushers and greeters and health professional ministries. The Lord blessed Kim to be a shining example to us all, and she transitioned from this life into eternity on April 20, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles Wolf Sr., Melody Wolf, and brother, Justin Wolf. Kim leaves to cherish her memory, stepmother Ruthie Wolf, 2 sisters, Kerinda Carter (Tyrone), Shonita Wolf, and brother, Charles Wolf Jr., 3 nieces, 1 nephew, all of Omaha, Ne; and other relatives, friends and the Greater Beth-el Temple church family.
