Kirby Dee Kimbrough, Sr., age 65, died in Omaha, Nebraska, on October 17, 2020.
He was born to the late Milton Kimbrough and mother and father Mabel and Anthony Hill, on August 18, 1955, in Omaha, Nebraska.
He graduated from Tech High School. After high school, he went to the Job Corps where he learned his trade as a chef. Following his training he joined the Army, where he was a med tech. He met his Soulmate, Rose. They were married on July 17, 1976. Kirby was well known and liked in the neighborhood.
In addition to his parents, Kirby is preceded in death by brothers John Clark and David Hill; sister Michal Carter.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Rose Kimbrough; children Monica Kimbrough, Kimberly (Dontavis) Johnson, Kirby (JoEllen) Kimbrough Jr., and Walter (Ciera) Kimbrough; grandchildren Quintan, LaDarius, Aleaisa, Calvin, Nevaeh, Celeste, Dionte, Hayden, Whitney, Walter jr., and Cameron; great grandchildren LaDarius jr., Layla, Rhiley, Ariah, Marley, Kaiden, Diagio, Makahai, Ariauna, and Leiloni; siblings Raymond (Constance) Carter jr., Pamela (Percy) Johnson, Lori Hill, and Willie Hill; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins and friends.
A visitation will be held at Good Shepherd Funeral Home on Sunday, October 25, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A funeral service will be Monday, October 26, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., also at the funeral home.
