Leslie Allan Moffatt, 57, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away on November 25, 2023. Born on June 12, 1966, in Omaha, Leslie served in the Army for 8 years and was a decorated Gulf War Veteran. He loved his job providing tech support for students and teachers at Morton Middle School.
In his youth, Leslie, fondly known as Les, spent many summers traveling with his dad. He cherished the special bond he had with his mom over food, especially her chicken noodle soup (No Onions!!). Les took his role as a big brother seriously and enjoyed taking his little sisters on adventures to Peony Park and the Benson Park lagoon to fish for crawdads. Later in life, Les created new memories with his daughter Jennifer, whom he lovingly called "Bird," spending Sunday mornings together over breakfast. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandsons, Aydon, Jace, Jaxton, and Jhericco.
Les was a passionate football fan, supporting the Huskers on Saturdays and the San Francisco 49ers on Sundays. He enjoyed sharing fishing stories with his buddies while drinking a cold beer at the Ko-zee Lounge.
Leslie Allan Moffatt is survived by his mother, Sherry (Mel) Rombeck, father Ken Moffatt, daughter Jennifer (Johnny), grandsons Aydon, Jace, Jaxton, and Jhericco, sisters Cindy Holdforth (John) and Debbie Nelson Pennington (Bill), aunt Mary Kincaid, former wife Robin Moffatt, and many special cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Leslie and Betty Sanders, Duane Moffatt, and Marge Moffatt.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, December 12, at 1:30 pm at the Omaha National Cemetery, located at 14250 Schram Road, Omaha, NE 68138. The Good Shepherd Funeral Home in Omaha will be assisting with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Moving Veterans Forward at
