Loretta Moore Oliver, loving mother of four daughters, sister, and friend, passed away at age 74 in Omaha, NE.
Loretta was born on December 23, 1949, in Omaha, NE to loving parents Dennis Jackson, Sr. and Margie Moore. Throughout her early years, Loretta participated in drill team, church, excelled in academics, and loved to sing. She also enjoyed the time she shared with her 4 beautiful daughters. Loretta was known to make people laugh with her witty remarks, without even trying.
Loretta loved God and believed in the blood of Jesus Christ from a very early age. Attending church was instilled in her and her brother, Eugene, by their mother and they faithfully attended church every Sunday. Loretta had a beautiful singing voice and loved to sing in the choir and praise the Lord.
Loretta graduated from Omaha Central High School in 1968. She went on to complete courses at the University of Nebraska-Omaha and later worked for the City of Omaha. She was employed at several other businesses in the Omaha area, where she lived out her life.
This amazing woman was known as Ms. Independent due to her persistent desire to make moves on her own. She was an avid bus rider and made her way around the metro area almost daily. Her days included writing letters to family and friends, visits to Wal-Mart, the post office, library, bank, church concerts, and Joe Tess Fish in south Omaha. Loretta was frequently seen out and about by her family and friends where she was often greeted and well-received with love.
Due to natural causes, Loretta gained her heavenly wings on Thursday, February 29th, 2024. She was preceded in death by her father-Dennis Jackson, Sr., mother-Margie Moore, brother-Dennis Jackson, Jr., and sister-Reditia Sumpter. Loretta will be remembered by daughters-Tracy D. Oliver, Lanelle Oliver, Nicolette Oliver, and Kia Oliver; brothers- Eugene Moore, Ronald Jackson, Robert Kirk; Sisters- Denise Jackson, Guyla Glover; grandchildren- Jenel Oliver, JaShonna Oliver, Javier Oliver, Abrielle Graves, Logan Hargrave, Jr., great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.Monday, March 11, 2024
