Louis Salcedo was born on December 6, 1951 in St. Joseph, MO to Louis Salvador Salcedo, Sr and Loretta Rose Salcedo.
Louis was the 4th of 8 children. As a boy, Louis spent most of his time playing with toy cars until he was old enough to begin working on real ones. Cars were always his passion. He also enjoyed basketball & fishing occasionally.
When Louis was 21 he moved to Omaha, NE for a work opportunity. There he raised his 6 children; Christopher, Stacy, Rebecca, Heather, Chad & Lisa. One silver lining his family has found during this horrific time, is his reunion with two of his children; Christopher & Lisa.
Louis met his wife Deborah in Omaha, NE as well, at age 45. The two were introduced by their children & haven't parted since. They spent the last 27 years happily together, raising their 10 (combined) children. They enjoyed spending time with their 33 grandchildren and 13 (& counting) great grandchildren.
Louis was a master mechanic, though not by profession, and could fix pretty much anything he set his hands on. He had a 27 year career at Nebraska Beef where he worked up until his diagnosis at age 69.
Louis was the most hard-working, patient, helpful, dependable man there was. He was far more than a leader to his family; he was their hero, and his absence will be deeply felt.
He was also, however, the most cheerful, positive, upbeat man there was as well. Though he experienced more than his share of hardships, if you didn't know that you never would have guessed it. He never let life get him down.
He found joy in every situation, every circumstance, every day & lived life to the absolute fullest. And that is how we will remember this phenomenal hero of a man that we all cherished so deeply.
