Madeline Joan Thompson was born February 14, 1949, in Little Rock Arkansas to the late Darthelia L Benton. Preceded in death by grandparents Walter and Mattie Thompson, brother Myron L Benton and sister Myra L English.
At an early age she made a confession of faith in Christ at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in College Station, Arkansas.
Madeline attended College Station Elementary School and graduated from Sweet Home High School. After completing her high school education, she continued her academic journey by attending Arkansas Baptist College.
Madeline Joan Thompson's career path was focused on caring for others, and she held various positions in that capacity. One of her roles was as a Paraprofessional with the Omaha Public Schools. Additionally, she worked as a Program Specialist with EnCor working with individuals with specific needs or challenges. Her career roles reflected her selflessness and giving nature, and her contributions to education and community programs made a significant difference in the lives of many.
She enjoyed spending quality time with her loved ones and engaging in social activities like playing cards and dominoes. The fact that she split her time between Omaha and College Station, Arkansas, indicates that she had connections and cherished memories in both places.
Madeline and her sister Brenda had a lovely and fulfilling time together during the last two years of her life. Living together allowed them to share special moments and create lasting memories. Studying bible scriptures together brought them both comfort. They also enjoyed watching old TV series, western movies and reminiscing on their childhood strengthened their sister bond.
Madeline cherished her grandchildren and found joy in their presence. Great-granddaughter Aurorah, brought an extra special kind of happiness truly a source of light and happiness for her, brightening the day when in her presence.
Cherishing her loving memories are children Lisa Kinchen, Dell Deloney, Kayshon Casey (Alicia). Grandchildren Kendra McCallister, Dell Deloney Jr. Alexis Casey, Makayla Polite. Great-granddaughter Aurorah Brammer, Sister Brenda Deloney. Nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
