Mary Ann Wagner

September 21, 1952 — July 6, 2023

Mary Ann Wagner, 70, of Omaha, Nebraska passed away peacefully on July 6, 2023. She was born on September 21, 1952, to Kenneth and Joan Wagner in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, the second child of twelve.

Mary Ann grew up in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and moved to Iowa after graduation from Goodrich High School. She was employed by the Red Cross until her retirement in 2014.

Mary Ann loved animals, especially her dog Oreo. She also loved to crochet, knit and sew and loved to share what she created with others. Mary Ann crocheted hats, scarves, and baby blankets all year round and donated them to a homeless shelter and anyone in need. During the pandemic she made masks and gowns and donated them to those in need. She had a green thumb and could make anything grow and flourish. Mary Ann also enjoyed the craft of Diamond Art and decorated her home with her creations.

Mary Ann joined The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints and enjoyed serving in the Winter Quarters Temple and the Bishop's Storehouse as long as she was physically able.

As her health deteriorated, she maintained a positive attitude. Her favorite comment, even on the tough days, was "It will get better". She was a good friend to all she met.

Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents, siblings William, James, Douglas, Katherine Matson, infant sister Laurie and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

She is survived by her siblings Lynn (Dale) Snortum, John Wagner, Sue (John) Nett, Allen (Julia) Wagner all of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin; Patricia (Robert) Lockwood of North Fond du Lac, Wisconsin; and Ann (Joseph) Johnson of Spooner, Wisconsin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Jul 31, 2023, 10am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 825 Dorcas St. Omaha 68108. Private family services will be held in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin at a later date.

The family would like to thank Michelle for all the love and support she has given to Mary Ann through the years. It means more than we can ever express in words.
