Mary Ziska

Mary began volunteering at Table Grace Café on July 7th, 2016 when she was in the Hero's Program at the Stephen Center. She successfully graduated from the Hero's Program and continued volunteering at Table Grace Café until June 2019 when she was hired into a paid position at the café. Mary was also a source of positive energy in our community, and was able to share a laugh in almost any situation. In June and August 2024 Mary was able to fulfill a life long dream of being a part of a musical through Table Grace. The musical based on the series of people that have been changed through Table Grace Ministries. 

Table Grace gave Mary an opportunity everyday to share her experience, strength, and hope among her peers, and community. After struggling with and recovering from addiction and homelessness, she became a beacon of light for others who are stuck in the cycle. 

Mary is proceeded in death by her parents Tom and Susan Lucht. She is survived by her children Rebekah Smith (Dylan), Ethan Hann (Morgan Kuhn), and Ashley Ruiz (Daniel); grandchildren Delilah, Avery, James, Jackson, and Rachel; significant other Jeff Hann who took care of Mary on hospice; dog Krueher Cornelius; sister Marcia Delehoy. 

We will be celebrating the life of Mary Ziska at Table Grace Café Wednesday December 18, 2024 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. This will be open house style, sharing stories, music, and delicious food as we remember our dear friend, mother, and sister in Christ, Mary Ziska.
