Michael MacVittie

Michael Arthur MacVittie passed away September 24, 2024 in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 81 years. He was born July 10, 1943 in Buffalo, New York.

Michael worked as an engineer for Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent and retired in 2000 after 38 years.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Dorothy MacVittie; sister Barbara Loomis; and brother-in-law Frank Loomis.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kathleen MacVittie; children Kelly (Patrick) Gray and Patrick MacVittie; grandchildren Kathleen (Jordan) Brummels, Erin (Zack) Belton, Shannon (Thomas) Whittington, Bridget Gray, and MacKenzie Gray; great-grandchildren Isabelle, Olivia, Paxton, Gabby, Calvin, and Ronnie; and nieces, nephews, and other family.

VISITATION Sunday, September 29, from 4-6 PM at Good Shepherd Funeral Home - L Street Chapel. FUNERAL MASS Monday, September 30, at 11 AM at Mary Our Queen Catholic Church (3405 S 118th St). Memorials may be directed to the family.
