Nathaniel Dixon was born in East St. Louis, Illinois on May 7,, 1973. Nate was the first born child of Nathaniel "Cool Papa" Williams and Emma J. (Dixon) Stanley.
Nathaniel was a graduate of Lincoln Senior High School class of 1991. During his time in high school he was a well known football player for the Lincoln Tigers. After graduating from high school Nathaniel completed his certification for Brick-masonary from the Job Corp in St. Louis, Missouri. He was also a certified fork-lift operator for several warehouses. His most recent employer was Ubiquity Global Services of Omaha, Nebraska as a customer service representative. Nathaniel was united in Holy Matrimony to La Wanda (Collins) Dixon on August 23, 2021 and loved her children as his own.
Nathaniel Dixon accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age under the leadership of Sr. Bishop John H. Green, who has preceded him in death. He also attended the church of God in Christ Congregational Church of Madison, Illinois for 12 years.
Nathaniels affectionate smile would light up a room. He loved to DJ and spend time with family and friends, he would also refer to those around him that they were his cousins. He would always address his wife as "Baby" which meant she was special to him.
" The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" Psalm 34:18.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; brother, Charles R. Dixon; mother, Oller M. (Williams) Dixon; step-father, Alvin B. Stanley, Sr.; niece, Samantha N. Tucker and his best friend, "Lucky G".
Nathaniel leaves to cherish his memories his wife, La Wanda Dixon; children, Michael Collins, Debrian Collins of Omaha, Nebraska, Tyrone Collins of East St. Louis, Illinois, Jessica Collins and Breosha Taylor of East St. Louis, Illinois, LaTonya and Janice Taylor of Omaha, Nebraska; mother, Emma J. Stanley of East St. Louis, Illinois; brother, Alvin B. Stanley, Jr., St. Louis, Missouri; sister, Tiffany McClinton (Gregory) of East St. Louis, Illinois; step-sisters, Natasha Seymour of Ghana, Africa and Ramona Miller of Huntsville, Texas; step-brother, Michael Willis of Kenya, Africa; mother-in-law, Janice Collins (Algiel L); brother-in-laws, Alfie Collins of East St. Louis, Illinois, Eduardo Collins (Felicia) of Omaha, Nebraska, Orand Collins (Toya) of Richman, Indiana and Jeff Collins (Bridgette) of Omaha, Nebraska; God-daughter, Azaria Blackamore; special friend, Gina Dumaha and a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Service 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 with Visitation at 10:00 am at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 3809 N. 90th St., Omaha, Nebraska.
