Nyeilah Suggs

Nyeilah Jonae Suggs was born on January 09, 2000, in Chicago, Illinois, to Michele Person and Isaac Suggs Sr. She departed this life on January 03, 2025, in Omaha, Nebraska at the young age of 24.

Nyeilah moved to Omaha, Nebraska from Chicago, Illinois at the age of 3 years old. She attended elementary school at Howard Kennedy elementary school up until 2014. At age 11, Nyeilah suffered an asthma attack that left her with some incapabilities. Although she was deemed incapable by doctors, Nyeilah put on her gloves to begin her fight to a successful recovery. She was determined to become what doctors said she wouldn't be.

Nyeilah attended Northwest high school in Omaha, Nebraska. She was motivated to work hard so that she could walk across the stage and get her high school diploma without using her wheelchair. In 2018, Nyeilah walked across the stage, placing one foot in front of the other, with a huge, bright smile on her face, and received her high school diploma in front of her peers, her family, her teachers, and a lot of staff members, proud and strong.

While in high school, Nyeilah obtained a job at the Goodwill. Then, on July 24, 2021, God blessed her with a replica of herself by sending her a daughter, Da'Niah Michele Suggs. Her daughter became even more of a reason for her to keep fighting.

On October 9, 2024, Nyeilah was up joking and talking to family when her asthma attacked her so abruptly once again. She strapped up her boots and stood strong as she prepared again for life's many obstacles. She fought with everything inside of her like she's done in the past. Unfortunately, this was one battle that overpowered Nyeilah, and on January 3, 2025, her spirit became absent from her body to become present with God and his angels in heaven.

Nyeilah was preceeded in death by her mother, Michele Person, and survived by her father, Isaac Suggs Sr., her daughter, Da'Niah Michele Suggs, her siblings Kenyata Alexander (Carmone), William Person Sr. (Deanna), Kiel Person (Rebecca), Amin Person (Johnese), Alindra Person (Terence), Nautica Suggs, and Isaac Suggs Jr. (Jolisha), 30 nieces and nephews, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.
