Patty Barry of Papillion , NE passed peacefully on Monday, Dec. 18th at Bergen Mercy Hospital surrounded by her family and friends throughout her final days.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Virginia McLaughlin of Papillion, NE and her brother, Tim McLaughlin of Naples, FL.

Patty is survived by her son, Michael Bleistein (Sarah) and her 3 grandchildren Liam, Emma and Bennett; brothers David, Stephen and Dan McLaughlin; sisters Diane VanAckeren and Mary (Glen) Boege and Nancy McLaughlin as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Patty graduated from Papillion - LaVista High School in 1970 and graduated Peru State College in 1974.

In her youth, Patty was a talented athlete esp. in softball. She enjoyed gardening, following sports, her grandchildren and reading.

Per her wishes, Patty requested private family services will be held on the Gulf of Mexico at a future date. A small local gathering hosted by Diane VanAckeren will take place to honor her memory on her birthday Jan 18th, 2024.
