Patricia Judith Giller

Patricia (Patty) Judith Giller had waged a nearly year-long battle with cancer when she died at her home in Omaha on August 9th at the age of 63. Her career included six years in the Marines, a time as manager of a McDonalds restaurant in Virginia, and most recently working at Guns Unlimited in Omaha.

She was well known for her creative ventures. Many friends and family members have her artwork hanging in their homes. Her many hobbies also included her family genealogy work. Her research into all branches of the family was legendary. Although Patty had no children of her own she had a huge impact on the lives of many children and will be forever remembered in their hearts as Patty, Patty.

Patty is survived by four siblings: Suzanne Wintle of Wayland, Massachusetts, William Giller of Atlanta, Georgia, Richard Giller of Los Angeles, California, and Maureen Wysham of Great Mills, Maryland. Her dear friend Kim Holman Mitchell of St. Louis and her cousins Gina Lombardo and Dorothy Lombardo Starman both of Omaha were with Patty while she received hospice care.

A memorial service to celebrate Pattys life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in Pattys name to the Suicide Prevention Society, (outofthedarkness.org) Patty raised money during walks for this Omaha group.
