Patricia Ann McGrady-Urdahl
(April 25, 1943-September 24, 2023)
Patricia Urdahl was a loving wife, mother, and friend. On September 24, 2023, she left this world peacefully, and was welcomed into her new “home” by those she deeply loved who have gone before her.
Patricia, “Patsy,” “Pat,” was born on April 25, 1943 to Doug and Anna McGrady in Elbowoods, North Dakota. She graduated from New Town High School in 1961. After high school, her adventurous spirit led her to Minneapolis, Minnesota where she met and married Erling “Tom” Urdahl. Together they had two daughters: Carmen and Anita.
Pat and Tom spent many years in the Minneapolis area. After their daughters left home, Pat’s adventurous spirit re-emerged. Pat and Tom ventured into new communities including Fargo, Aberdeen, and Rapid City, before eventually landing in Omaha to be
close to family.
Pat adored her family—she was incredibly proud of her daughters and their families. Pat was an extremely generous woman—giving the perfect gift to friends and family brought her great joy. She loved spending time talking to friends and had a witty sense of humor.
Her home always had an open door and she welcomed visitors with sweet homemade treats and plenty of conversation. Pat also had a fond heart for her fur friends and enjoyed spoiling them with McDonalds hamburgers and Dairy Queen ice cream cones.
Pat is survived by her husband, Tom; daughters Carmen (Dan) Kamrath and Anita (Doug) Hart; grandchildren Joshua (Josie) Kamrath, Alysia (Calvin) Kamrath-Ward, Megan (Lynx) Kamrath-Hawthorne, Aaron Hart, Krista Hart, and four great-
grandchildren; as well as many relatives and friends that were dear to her heart.
Pat will be remembered for her faith, her kindness, and her deep love for family and friends. There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering and Lunch on Monday, October 16 th at 11:00am at the Northern Lights Wellness Center in New Town, ND. In lieu of
flowers, please donate to SPURS Therapeutic Riding Center in Aberdeen on her behalf (spursaberdeen.org).
