Philip Brent Knode

Philip Brent Knode was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on September 20, 1986. He was the second of four children born to William and Lisa Knode. Philip was spiritually born-again at the age of 5, being led to the Lord by his older brother Rocky Edwards-Knode.
He was raised in Virginia, and graduated high school from Faith Baptist School in Fredericksburg, Virginia in 2003. After high school, he attended Pensacola Christian College, graduating in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in Pastoral Theology and a master's degree in Biblical Exposition.
Philip was married to Tanya Stoughtenger on December 30, 2007. God blessed their marriage with three children: Caleb, Alexander, and Anthony. Philip and Tanya raised their family in Omaha, Nebraska.
Philip's life work was to preach the Gospel and lead people to Jesus Christ. Some of his favorite things to do were playing with his kids, fishing, collecting turtles, and reading his Bible.
He went home to be with the Lord he loved on July 8th of this year. God blessed him with 34 years, 9 months, and 18 days of a full and fruitful life. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lisa Knode.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Tanya; and his children, Caleb, Alexander, and Anthony.
He is also survived by his father, William Knode and his wife, Pat, of Bowling Green, Virginia; his brothers, Rocky Edwards-Knode and his wife, Natasha, of Sahuarita, Arizona; Samuel Brown of Washington D.C.; and Luke Knode and his wife, Kelsey, of Kingsland, Georgia, all of whom will miss him very much.
