Fern Stickney

Fern Stickney Age 81 of Omaha, Nebraska passed away surrounded by her family on July 3, 2024. She was born on July 12, 1942 in Omaha, Nebraska to Emery and Nixie (Kleindienst) Stoops. Fern married "Sonny" George Stickney on April 11, 1958 in Papillion, Nebraska. She worked at Fleetwood and enjoyed bowling.

She was preceded in death by her significant other, Don Nagel; son, Wade; granddaughter, Angel Renee; parents; brothers, Bucky and wife Bonnie Stoops, Bill and wife Hazel Stoops, Mike and Lonnie Stoops; sisters, Ethel Fipps and Donna and husband Charlie Fletcher and best friend, Judy Smith.

Fern is survived by her son, Bruce and wife Millie Stickney; daughters, Georgia and husband Matt Hothersall and Shawn Stuck; sister-in-law, Marge Stoops and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, special niece, Fran Schwartz and her husband Jon, other family and friends.

Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 4712 S. 82nd St.

Celebration of Fern's Life will be 11:30 AM Friday, July 12, 2024 at the Carter Lake Improvement Club, 4328 N 9th St, Carter Lake, Iowa.

Inurnment at a later date at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
