Randy C Smith was born in Omaha, NE on September 14, 1964, as the youngest child to Leberta and John Smith. He met his wife, Angela, in 1998, as co-workers at Boystown, and they were joined in holy matrimony on May 5, 2007. From this cherished union, he gained a son, Tyrece Washington.
Randy attended Howard Kennedy, Sherman Elementary, and Monroe Jr. High. He graduated in 1984 from Benson High School. Randy was a hard worker and went on to hold positions at Packing House, Omaha Housing Authority, Walmart, Boystown, University of Nebraska Medical Center and Sodexo.
Those who knew Randy would say that he loved to laugh and talk and was friendly to everyone he met. Often, people would come to him for life advice and easygoing conversation. He enjoyed gatherings with family and reminiscing about the good times growing up, especially his grandmother's amazing biscuits. He was an avid sports fan and a follower of Husker football. When he wasn't watching sports, you could usually find him enjoying old TV shows and animal programs. Randy also loved fixing things and was a great handyman.
Among Randy's many hobbies were cooking, grilling, listening to old music, singing and dancing. His favorite artists included Prince, Michael Jackson, and Cameo, In fact, he even won first place in a karaoke contest singing "Purple Rain."
Randy leaves behind to cherish his memories: his wife, Angela Smith; son, Tyrece Washington; sisters, Barbara (William Bubba), Marie, LeElla; brothers, John Earl, James [Yogi] (Linda), Recoe, Danny, Eric, Steve, Angilo, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Leberta Smith; sisters Beverly Ann, Judy Gail, Felisa Kay; brothers Charles [Chuck], Leonard and Carl.
