Ronald Hodges

Ronald Leon Hodges was born September 9, 1934 in Omaha Nebraska to Johnny Hodges and Mable Harris Hodges.
In 1952 he graduated from Sough High School. He joined the Navy in January of 1953 was later called to active duty and served 2 years from 1957 to 1959. After the service he worked for Swift for 15 years before he purchased the Bali Hi Lounge in 1970. He had the Ronnies Prediction Hour on the radio in which he gave predictions on horse races. He served on the Board of Directors for the Black Community Banks. He sponsored many youth events in the Omaha area and was a true leader in the community. He also Loved to play the saxophone!
When he retired he moved to Texas for several years of rest and relaxation before he returned to Omaha.
His friends and family will always remember all that he did. He will be missed by many family and friends.
He lost his son Darrell Thompson and his adopted daughter Cheryl Hodges.
He is survived by his sons, Richard Phillips Hodges and Jonathan Williams and an adopted son Michael Miller, his sister Carolyn Hodges, 16 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great Great Grandchildren.
