Ronald J. Douglas passed away December 9, 2022 in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 74. He was born July 7, 1948 in Van Buren, Arkansas.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents Charley and Mary Jane Douglas; brothers Robert Douglas - Van Buren, Arkansas and Thomas Douglas - Van Buren, Arkansas.
He is survived by his daughter, Deianiera Douglas; grandchildren Saniyah, Sakyi, and Luna Douglas; brothers Mark (Anner) Douglas - Little Rock, Arkansas and Paul Douglas - Jersey City, New Jersey; sisters Charley (Cheikh †) Fame - Jersey City, New Jersey, Mary Jane Douglas - Little Rock, Arkansas, Bonnie Douglas - Fort Smith, Arkansas, Alice Douglas - Indianapolis, Indiana, and Robin (Orlando) Freeman - Benton, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends.
Ronald was well loved and always had a kind heart. He was the first black man to play on his high school football team. He is a proud Navy veteran and was a fantastic mechanic that could maintain any vehicle, regardless of the make, year, or model, and he was #13 in Ring Magazine in Professional Boxing.
Ronald loved watching football and fishing, eating tamales, and of course, loved his daughter. He will always be loved and greatly missed.
