Roosevelt Lee departed this life on Sunday March 16, 2025.
Roosevelt was born and raised in Linden Alabama. As a child, he attended Lewis Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, in Alabama. He attended South High School. He also attended University of Nebraska in Omaha, where he got his bachelor's degree in engineering. In the 70's, Roosevelt accepted Jesus in his heart and joined the Church of the Living God in Omaha, Nebraska. He later became the Superintendent of Sunday School. Roosevelt loved the Lord. He was a devote man of God with morals and was a strong Christian. He witnessed to many others and gave to those that were in need. He loved his family dearly and always pushed to keep family together. His daughter and others became great in the game of basketball as a result of his training techniques. He loved attending North High's basketball games, football games, and track meets. One of his favorite North High football players of all time was Calvin Strong. He also loved to support his former high school South High. He loved watching different types of sports on television at his home as well. He was a fan of the boxing legend Terrance Crawford. He often helped the community by renting out his apartments for very low rent prices. He was a member of the Board of Directors for The Reverend JC Wade Villa. He was also a member of the Omaha Branch of the NAACP. Truly, Mr. Lee was a great man of faith in God that encouraged others to be great as well. May he rest in peace as his legacy lives on.
